  1. I did a quick count, I haven’t seen around 70 of them, mostly cartoons, non-American and Lord of the Ring-ones. Oh, and Batman. Waiting for a good chance to see those, such as on a flight. With older films I’m often not sure whether I’ve seen them or not, but probably yes, Yugoslavia showed many great films on TV when I was growing up, all kinds, Western, Eastern and Swedish, so we profited. Just found your site, not a big fan of blockbusters but shall look around what you’ve got for me.

Smashing project you’ve set yourself – I’m envious. Definitely seen 146 of them although there are some titles I don’t recognise. But then I’ve been going to the movies for a very long time (and used to teach film too at one stage).

You’ve gotten me beat! I’m still in college so obviously I’m still building my movie knowledge. I have a long way to go but the journey will certainly be a fun one!

Awesome buddy… But IMDB’s Top 250 keeps changing often right?

  4. I’ve watched most of the animation movies in this list, and the ghibli ones are definitelly my favorites out of all these movies because they’re so well-done and are all truly moving! I’ve watched quite a bit of these actually and not I’m feeling a little excited about watching the rest!!

Though I was surprised to see that some wonderful movies are missing from this list… oh well.

  5. so many amazing films on this list! though where the hell is Dead Poets Society?! totally deserves a place on there

  6. I’ve seen all but four of the first one hundred. I’ve missed out on five of the next one hundred and five of the last fifty, so I have a good start. It’s enchanting to see these titles and remember the movies. It wouldn’t be my ranking, of course.

37/250 but more than half of the list is still on my to-watch list) I am inspired with your challenge and I will try to watch those from the list first.
I haven’t checked IMDb Top 250 in a while, a lot of new and recent movies made it to the list)

Thanks so much! I hadn’t taken a look in awhile either. It’s interesting to see what newer movies are already considered classics by many!

  8. I have seen the first 26, not even heard of 27 so I will look it up. , and will come back to this later 😉 hate to rush it
