Film Review – 6 Balloons (2018) (Watch)

by Nick Kush
6 Balloons

At this point, Netflix is releasing new films just about every week to contend with the content in theaters.  While they haven’t necessarily been successful with every new film (looking at you, The Cloverfield Paradox and Mute), Netflix has shown that they aren’t afraid to open up their wallets for projects that are off the beaten path, and Marja-Lewis Ryan’s 6 Balloons is a perfect example of Netflix continuing to expand their reach.  The 75-minute indie drama takes place within a one-night period, showcasing Dave Franco and Abbi Jacobson in roles that play against their usual type while allowing the two to show off their dramatic chops.

The following review will be spoiler free.

Looks really intriguing. Something I haven’t seen Dave Franco sink his teeth in.
