The State of Horror in 2018 (The MovieBabble Podcast Ep. 4)

In case you haven’t noticed, horror is kind of a thing these days. The last few years have been very kind to the genre. In fact, you might even say that we’re in a golden age of horror. But even if you don’t feel strongly enough to put labels on anything, we still have Michael Myers wreaking havoc on the box office, Jordan Peele gearing up to release his second social thriller in the new year, and much, much more coming down the pipe. Whether you’re into arthouse horror or grisly slasher flicks, the state of horror in 2018 is full of wonderful variety.

In this episode of The MovieBabble Podcast, I am joined once again by fellow MovieBabble staff writer Stephen Finlay to discuss how horror got to its present state, and where it goes from here.

  1. I also think that the horror genre is back from the dead. Here is my top 15 horror films of the last two years. Hopefully, this renewed impetus in the horror genre will continue. I look forward to listening to this podcast tonight.
