Film Review – Like Father (2018)

by Nick Kush
Like Father

There’s a noticeable trend in Netflix original films these days. Odds are the film has big names that you know and love, but the actual film itself leaves a little to be desired. We’ve seen it time and time again, and Netflix might want to watch itself moving forward with films similar to Like Father, because they might try the patience of millions of subscribers.

The following review will be spoiler free.

Synopsis

Directed By: Lauren Miller

Written By: Lauren Miller

Starring: Kristen Bell, Kelsey Grammer, and Seth Rogen

When a workaholic young executive (Bell), is left at the altar, she ends up on her Caribbean honeymoon cruise with the last person she ever expected: her estranged and equally workaholic father (Grammer). The two depart as strangers, but over the course of a few hilarious adventures, a couple of umbrella-clad cocktails and a whole lot of soul-searching, they return with a renewed appreciation for family and life.
