Film Fiasco: ‘Wish Upon’ – Exploring a Terrible Movie (Another Bloody Movie Podcast)

by Sean Coates
Wish Upon

Spoiler alert: Wish Upon sucks.

Well, realistically, that’s not a spoiler because everyone knows that it’s true. The high-concept horror flick from 2017 crashed and burn in amazing fashion, becoming a fan favorite as a comedy rather than a horror film. That’s not quite how director John R. Leonetti drew it up in the pre-production process.

While we love to endlessly dissect some of film’s finest achievements, it’s also a ton of fun to go in the other direction, to dive deep into what makes a film so terrible.

So many things can go wrong with a movie, and Wish Upon seems to have suffered from many of these issues — all of which will be discussed in the latest episode from the latest Another Bloody Movie Podcast episode with Erik Tischer.
